Terms and Conditions
Updated 08/05/2026
1. General Statement
These Terms and Conditions apply to all roofing works undertaken by TPM LINCS Limited (the Company). By instructing the Company to proceed, the Client agrees to these terms in full.
2. Guarantees for New Roof Installations
The Company provides a 10-Year Workmanship Guarantee on all full roof replacements, including:
- Pitched Roofing: Full replacement of tiled or slate roofs.
- Flat Roofing: Full replacement using EPDM, Hot Melt, or GRP Fiberglass systems.
3. Dry System vs. Wet System Guarantees
We differentiate our guarantees based on the installation method used for ridges, valleys, and verges:
- Dry Systems (10-Year Guarantee): A full 10-year guarantee is provided for “Dry Fix” systems, including Dry Ridges, Dry Valleys, and Dry Verge Caps. These mechanical fixings are designed for long-term durability and resistance to weather.
- Wet Systems (2-Year Guarantee): Installations using traditional mortar (Wet Ridges, Wet Valleys, and Wet Verges) are guaranteed for 2 years only. This is due to the natural degradation of mortar caused by UK weather cycles (freeze/thaw) and vibrations, which are beyond the Company’s control.
4. Guarantees for Roof Repairs
- Minor Repairs: Repairs to slates, tiles, felt, or battens carry a 2-year guarantee.
- Flat Roof Repairs: No guarantee is offered on localized repairs to existing flat roofs due to the unknown age and condition of the original roof.
5. Payment Terms and Deposits
- Deposits: Deposits may be required for larger projects or specialized materials.
- Final Payment: Full and final payment is strictly due upon the date of completion.
- Guarantees: Guarantee certificates will only be issued and remain valid once the final invoice is paid in full.
6. Cancellation Policy
- Notice: Clients wishing to cancel a scheduled project must provide written notice.
- Material Costs: In the event of a cancellation, all materials specifically ordered for the project must be paid for in full by the Client. If materials have already been delivered to the site or the Company’s yard, they remain the property of the Company until paid for, at which point they can be collected by or delivered to the Client.
7. Unforeseen Works
If underlying structural issues (e.g., rotten timbers) are discovered during the works that were not visible during the initial quote, the Company will provide a revised quote. The Company is not responsible for repairing these “unforeseen extras” unless a price is agreed upon in writing.
8. Worksite, Safety, and Professional Standards
- Safety: All works include a safety element to ensure the site meets HSE standards for our team and the public.
- Protection: We use protective coverings for all work surfaces and surrounding areas to prevent damage.
- Tidiness: A full professional cleanup is conducted upon completion, including the removal of all roofing debris.
9. Limitations and Exclusions
- Structural Movement: The Company is not liable for defects caused by building settlement, structural movement, or failing masonry.
- Scope: We only guarantee the specific areas we have worked on.
- Third-Party Work: Any interference or further work by third parties on the roof will void all Company guarantees.
